GO BIG E! (Making the EKU Cheer Team)

In April of 2010, I built up the courage to try out for the Eastern Kentucky University Cheerleading Team of 2010-2011. The coach was interested in me before hand so I figured why the heck not... I went though three days of clinics: Tumbling, Stunting, and Dance Skills.. I had to put up with the veterans of the previous team. They were cocky, pretty much tormented all fresh blood that entered their territory, I was not going to take any of their bullying, I tried as hard as I could every time I stepped on the mat. The day of try outs I couldnt have been more sharp and perfect. I even got the coaches attention!! The day of tryouts was on my senior prom night.. it was very hectic.. I tried out in the morning and went straight to getting my hair and makeup done. On my way to going out to eat, I got a phone call.. Coach Norris: "Ande CONGRATS on making this year varsity team!" I was pumped! It was one of my biggest accomplishments to walk on to D1 Cheer Squad.. The DJ even announced it when I was walking down the carpet for nomaniations for Prom Queen.. I made the team and got Prom Queen Runner Up.. it was a good night!!!

My First Car Wreck

On Oct. 6th, 2009 I expereinced the most horrfying situation a teen could go through... MY FIRST CAR ACCIDENT, I just got this nice 2001 Chevy Blazer... it was white and gold with 24s, pretty much my dream vehicle. It was my senior year, I felt independent not having to wait on my mother, so I was thinking well I am going to go to MCD'S for breakfast, I went to the stoplight to turn left it was green, so I ha dto yield.. it was a bright sunny day, so it made it difficult to see what was coming the other way, I took a chance and turned going about 15 miles a hour, then all of sudden BAMMM!!!! a car going 70 hit my passanger side, made my blazer do a 360 then tapped my side,, my air bag exploded in my face.. luckily I had my seat belt on. The accident happened within seconds.. I woke up and saw my car leaking of all oil, and the other car...underneath the guard rail. I kicked the door open and just fell out on the concrete, about 10 people came to my rescue, the person I hit did not talk to me, or check me in the ER, I know I turned into him but I was just a kid, I did not know better! This experience impacted my mother, my step dad, my whole family, the school, and my cheerleading team.. This accident also made the doctors find a tumor in my thigh that ended being cancerous... it was a sign from God. I WILL NEVER FORGET THAT DAY.

I was in the fourth grade, my class was taking a History Test, my teacher, Mrs.Deatherage, turned on the TV was airplanes going into towers, I was upset but I didnt know what was going on, all I knew was that alot of people were killed, and those buildings were very important to our nation., it impacted me by being a citizen and a Christian, I was only 10 and had alot of things going on...

Hello There Dad?!

When I was in 4th grade, my REAL father showed up on my door step, I was heading to practice for ball and all of sudden wanted to be a part of my life.. It upset me sooo much. First, my mother did not tell me who was, and second she told me that my father was from her previous marriage.. all I wanted was the honest truth. It impacted me so much, I was agggravated and had to get help for my stress until I was 16! As of right now, I have forgave my mother and real farther along time ago, as if today me and father have a steady realtionship. We are still in contact and have had some chill  memories togther..
